Damage 2.0 Warframe
Despite having multiple damage types on an attack, each of the damage types will do their part irrespective of the Status Chance. Basic Damage Types are explained in detail in the forthcoming modules.
Physical Damage: Base Damage of majority of the weapons include 3 Physical Damage Types namely Impact, Slash, Puncture. Overall Physical Damage of any weapon is a summation of Impact, Slash and Puncture Damages and this can also be referred to as IPS. Few weapons contain Elemental or Combo Elemental Damage instead of Physical Damage. Thus, Impact, Slash and Puncture Damages will not have any effect on it.
Primary Elemental Damage: You can apply the Elemental Damage on top of a Weapon’s Base based on the type of Elemental Mods applied. The four Primary Elemental Damage Types are Heat, Cold, Electricity and Toxin.
Secondary Elemental Damage: Players can create Secondary Elements by mixing two Primary Elements together.
Elemental Damage is in summation to the Weapon’s Physical Damages.
Weapon Damage= (Impact+Slash+Puncture)+Elemental
